We are dedicated to the fulfillment of each child’s needs and value individual learning styles, differentiating student instruction, inspiring students to reach their greatest potential.
Our experienced staff model and nurture kindness, respect and personal responsibility, fostering acceptance and good citizenship skills. Blessed to have a learning environment enhanced by parental involvement and support, we have an active Home School Association that sponsors monthly Family Fun Nights and community building activities for our students and their families throughout the school year.
We are committed to effective and frequent parental communication, which strengthens and enriches the very important home and school connection. St. John’s partnership with students and families reflects our understanding of our Catholic faith, our mission statement and our respectfulness of the faith and traditions of all whom we serve. Our Mentoring Program brings in parents and members of the community to work with individual and small groups of students.
Students participate in weekly classes developing basic computer skills, keyboarding and an understanding of Microsoft Office programs in our networked technology lab. Though some are already equipped, soon each classroom in our school will have Smartboard technologies, greatly enhancing our teachers’ abilities to provide instruction using 21st century learning skills.
The following activities are offered after school: gardening club, band, bowling, back to basics, Girl Scouts, & Boy Scouts. Students and staff also participate in numerous service projects around the community.
